    • Grammar is the basis for any language. Feel free to document your experiences beforehand and reflect on the progress in your English Journal and write down your reflections about learning grammar, e.g. how do you like to learn grammar, is it difficult for you, can you properly use it in other tasks?

    • And as a little preparation for this grammar section, here is a short video tutorial with Ronnie (on EngVid) explaining (in a not too serious way) the most basic grammar expressions.

    • Make sure you work through the tenses overview - you can also download and print the rules!

    • A short video tutorial (with Rebecca on EngVid) explaining how and when to use the past tense or the present perfect tense.

    • After you have studied the tenses overview, work through these exercises to practice.

    • To get an impression of how the passive voice is used in practical English (in this example: to avoid having to take responsibility for mistakes and failures) watch this video of Emma on EngVid.

    • This is a short video summary about the most common modal verbs and their use and some exercises from teacherphil.com.

    • Watch this short video introduction to phrasal verbs with Minoo (on Anglo-Link).

    • After you have studied the verbs and phrases, work through these exercises to practice.

    • Prepositions are a very large group of words, and the only way to master their use is memorizing, practising and reading English texts to get a feeling for their correct use.

Take a look at this short video with Rebekah (on educator.com) about problems with prepositons:

    • After you have studied the prepositions and pronouns, work through these exercises to practice.
