IT-Outsourcing stellt für nicht wenige Unternehmen einen Teil ihres unternehmerischen Denkens und Handelns dar. Die Unternehmensentscheidungen „ob“ und „wie“ IT outgesourct wird, führen zu Outsourcing-Modellen. Die digitale Transformation treibt fundamentale Veränderungsprozesse in Unternehmen. Diese Arbeit untersucht die zukünftige Entwicklung von Outsourcing-Modellen unter dem Einfluss der digitalen Transformation. Zur Beantwortung der zentralen Fragen dieser Arbeit: „Welche IT-Outsourcing-Modelle lassen sich unter dem Einfluss der digitalen Transformation ableiten?“, „Lassen sich zukünftige Trends erkennen, und wenn ja, welche?“ wird theoretisch und empirisch geforscht. Mittels Literatursichtung werden Aspekte zu Modellen und digitaler Transformation erarbeitet. Über Befragung von drei Experten wird die Realität und Prognose der Industrie erfasst. Auf Basis der Diskussion theoretisch und empirisch gewonnener Erkenntnisse werden potentielle Outsourcing-Modelle der Zukunft abgeleitet. Das Ergebnis zeigt, dass die digitale Transformation die Outsourcing-Modelle verändert. In 10-15 Jahren wird Offshoring an Bedeutung verloren und Business Process Outsourcing massiv an Bedeutung zugewonnen haben. Cloud-Computing wird das Outsourcing dominieren. Mit SIAM-Sourcing sowie Reshoring werden neue Modelle verbreitet sein.

For a number of companies IT outsourcing has become part of their entrepreneurial thinking and action. The business decisions “whether” and “how” IT is outsourced determine outsourcing models. Digital transformation drives fundamental changes in companies. This thesis examines the future development of outsourcing models under the influence of digital transformation. Theoretical and empirical research is carried out to answer the following central questions of this paper: “Which IT outsourcing models can be derived from the influence of digital transformation?” “Can future trends be identified, and if so which ones?” By means of literature review aspects of models and digital transformation are elaborated. Present and future from an industrial perspective is captured by interviewing three experts. Based on a discussion of theoretical and empirical findings on status quo and future, potential outsourcing models are derived. Findings show that outsourcing models are changing with digital transformation. In 10-15 years, offshoring will become less important. Cloud computing will dominate outsourcing, business process outsourcing will become much more relevant and SIAM sourcing as well as reshoring as new models will be widespread.
