Verzeichnis der Abschlussarbeiten

Da die Gesellschaft immer älter wird und die hochaltrige Bevölkerung sohin zunimmt, ist es besonders wichtig das Kommunikationsverhalten jener ansteigenden Bevölkerungsgruppe zu untersuchen. Das Ziel dieser Bachelorarbeit liegt darin, die gängigen Problemstellungen von Hochaltrigen im Bereich der Kommunikation darzulegen und diese näher zu beleuchten. Aus der Zielsetzung und dem Aufbau der Arbeit leiten sich folgende Fragestellungen ab, welche anhand einer strukturierten Literaturrecherche bearbeitet wurden:

Mit welchen physischen und psychischen Komplikationen haben Menschen im hohen Alter bei der Kommunikation zu kämpfen? Welchen sozialen Normen unterliegt die Kommunikation mit Hochaltrigen und welche Hürden bereiten diese bei der aktiven Kommunikation?

Es wird auf die verschiedenen Ebenen und Aspekte der Kommunikation eingegangen und die Bedeutung der sozialen Faktoren für Hochaltrige erläutert. Des Weiteren wird über die Kommunikationsmerkmale des hohen Alters, sowie über physische und psychische kommunikationshemmenden Aspekte berichtet. Basierend auf den Inhalten dieser Bachelorarbeit ist erkennbar, dass Hochaltrige mit diversen Hürden zu kämpfen haben, welche sich in sämtlichen Bereichen des Lebens widerspiegeln. Hierbei handelt es sich um soziale, physische und psychische Aspekte. Aufgrund dessen ist die regelmäßige Aufarbeitung der verschiedenen Kommunikationsaspekte essenziell, um die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse im Alltag anwenden zu können. Schlussendlich kann mit den Kenntnissen über die Kommunikation im hohen Alter in vielzähligen Bereichen gearbeitet werden, um die intergenerationelle Konversation zu optimieren.

As society is getting older and the oldest-old population is increasing, it is particularly important to investigate the communication behavior of this growing population group. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present and analyse the common problems of the oldest-old in the field of communication. The following questions are derived from the objective and the structure of the work, which were examined based on a structured literature research:

What physical and psychological complications do people of advanced age have to contend with when communicating? What are the social norms of communication with the oldest-old and what obstacles do they create in active communication?

The different levels and aspects of communication are discussed and the importance of social factors for the very old is explained. Furthermore, the communication characteristics of old age, as well as physical and psychological aspects that hinder communication, are presented.

Based on the contents of this bachelor thesis, it can be seen that the oldest-old people struggle with various hurdles, which are reflected in all areas of life. These are social, physical, and psychological aspects. Because of this, the regular review of the various aspects of communication is essential to be able to apply the knowledge gained in everyday life. Finally, the knowledge about communication in old age can be used in many areas to optimize the intergenerational conversation.
