Agilität versucht sich als zukunftsweisende Organisationstheorie zu etablieren, um Unternehmen durch Flexibilität und Anpassungsfähigkeit bestmöglich auf eine zunehmend von Instabilität gekennzeichnete Umwelt einzustellen. Mittels teilstrukturierten LeitfadenInterviews wurden in dieser qualitativen Studie Mitglieder von traditionsreichen österreichischen Unternehmen zu diversen Szenarien und Ansichten im Zusammenhang mit agilen Vorgehens- und Organisationsweisen befragt. Manche teilnehmenden Unternehmen weisen bereits erste an Agilität grenzende Verhaltensmuster auf, wohingegen auch stark abweichende Meinungen beispielsweise hinsichtlich der Verantwortungsübernahme dargestellt werden. Obwohl der Begriff der Agilität nicht weit verbreitet zu sein scheint, sind ähnliche Implementierungsansätze zu erkennen. Letztendlich werden traditionsreiche Unternehmen Wege finden, um ihre Geschäftsfähigkeit sicherzustellen. Ob diese mit organisationaler Agilität zu betiteln sein werden ist allerdings fraglich.

Agility tries to establish itself as a future-oriented organizational theory in order to adapt companies in the best possible way to an environment characterized by increasing instability due to flexibility and adaptability. In this qualitative study, members of Austrian companies with a long tradition were interviewed by means of partially structured guideline interviews about various scenarios and views in connection with agile procedures and organizational methods. Some participating companies already show initial behavior patterns bordering on agility, whereas strongly differing opinions, for example regarding the assumption of responsibility, are also presented. Although the term agility does not appear to be widespread, similar implementation approaches can be seen. Ultimately, traditional companies will find ways to ensure their business ability. However, it is questionable whether these will be labeled with organizational agility.
