Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der theoretischen Interpretation von New Work und wird mit dem Grundkonzept Frithjof Bergmanns verglichen. Verschiedene relevante Treiber sind heute dafür verantwortlich, dass New Work seit der Begründung wieder in den Vordergrund gerückt ist. Die Digitalisierung und der Wertewandel der gegenwärtigen Generationen sind maßgeblich daran beteiligt. Diese Arbeit befasst sich daher mit der Entwicklung der menschlichen Arbeit an sich und gibt einen Überblick zu Bergmanns Konzept. Kontrastierend dazu wird das aktuelle Verständnis von New Work mit dem Fokus auf die VUCA Welt (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity), einem veränderten Führungsverständnis und dem Prinzip der Selbstorganisation dargelegt. Agilität soll die Antwort auf die veränderten Umweltbedingungen sein. Führung im heutigen Verständnis von New Work ist eine besondere Herausforderung für die Betroffenen. Anhand unterschiedlicher Berichte wird daher darauf hingewiesen was für das heutige Führungsverständnis besonders wichtig ist um erfolgreich zu sein. Selbstorganisation und deren Maßnahmen und Methoden werden von verschiedenen Autoren als Teilaspekt von New Work gesehen.

This bachelor thesis deals with the theoretical interpretation of New Work and compares it with Frithjof Bergmann's basic concept. Various relevant drivers are responsible today for the fact that New Work has come to the fore again since its foundation. Digitalization and the change in values of current generations are significantly involved. Therefore, this paper looks at the development of human work itself and gives an overview of Bergmann's concept. In contrast, the current understanding of New Work is presented with a focus on the VUCA world (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity), a changed understanding of leadership and self-organization. Agility is supposed to be the answer to the changing environmental conditions. Leadership in today's understanding of New Work is a special challenge for those concerned. Based on different reports, it is therefore pointed out, what is particularly important for today's understanding of leadership in order to be successful. Various authors see self-organization and its measures and methods as a partial aspect of New Work.
