Die Firma SIMStation bietet Audio-Video-Simulationszentren für Simulationstrainings in
medizinischen Einrichtungen an. Die Audiokomponenten dieser Simulationszentren, wie Mikrofone
und Lautsprecher, sind aktuell mit analogen Kabeln an das System angeschlossen, dessen
Verwendung oft Komplikationen mit sich bringen. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, ein Simulationszentrum zu
planen, zu realisieren und auf seine technische Machbarkeit zu überprüfen, welches ohne
raumübergreifende analoge Kabel auskommt und eine Audioübertragung mithilfe des Dante
Netzwerkprotokolls ausschließlich über Netzwerkkabel ermöglicht. Zusätzlich wird auch die
wirtschaftliche Machbarkeit eines solchen Systems geprüft.
Dazu wurde zuerst ein Testaufbau mit ausgewählten Dante-Hardwarekomponenten und den Dante-Programmen Dante Controller und Dante Virtual Soundcard realisiert und anschließend ein
komplettes Simulationssystem für einen Kunden geplant und realisiert. Zusätzlich wurden die
Hardwarekosten eines Dante-Systems mit denen eines analogen Systems verglichen.
Das fertige Dante-Simulationssystem wurde erfolgreich geplant und verbaut und ist bereits seit
Februar 2023 beim Kunden Vorort im Einsatz. Die Hardwarekostensteigerung für das Dante-System
im Vergleich zu einem analogen Simulationssystem beträgt 5%, was bei einem Qualitäts-AudioVideo-System dieser Kostengrößenordnung bedenkenlos auf den Verkaufspreis aufgeschlagen
werden kann.

The company SIMStation offers audio-video simulation centres for simulation training in medical
facilities. The audio components of these simulation centres, such as microphones and
loudspeakers, are currently connected to the system with analogue cables, the use of which often
causes complications. The aim of this work is to plan, realise and test the technical feasibility of a
simulation centre that does not require analogue cables across rooms and allows audio transmission
using the Dante network protocol exclusively via network cables. In addition, the economic feasibility
of such a system is also being evaluated.
For this purpose, first a test setup with selected Dante hardware components and the Dante
programmes Dante Controller and Dante Virtual Soundcard was realised and then a complete
simulation system was planned and realised for a customer. In addition, the hardware costs of a
Dante system were compared with those of an analogue system.
The finished Dante simulation system was successfully planned and installed and has already been
in use at the customer's site since February 2023. The hardware cost increase for the Dante system
compared to an analogue simulation system is 5%, which can be added to the sales price without
hesitation for a quality audio-video system of this cost magnitude.
