Diese Bachelorarbeit untersucht die Verbreitung und Nutzung von Microsoft No- und Low-Code-Tools im Unternehmenskontext, mit besonderem Fokus auf die Power Platform. Ausgangspunkt ist die wachsende Nachfrage nach digitalen Lösungen bei gleichzeitig knappen IT-Ressourcen. Daraus ergibt sich die Forschungsfrage, in welchem Ausmaß Fachbereiche außerhalb der IT-Abteilungen Low- und No-Code-Tools selbstständig einsetzen. Zur Beantwortung wurde eine quantitative Online-Umfrage mit 50 Teilnehmenden durchgeführt, die Nutzungshäufigkeit, An-wendungsfelder sowie wahrgenommene Vorteile erhob. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass sowohl Au-tomatisierungen und Formulare als auch Datenvisualisierungen signifikant häufiger eingesetzt werden als in den Hypothesen gefordert. Damit wird deutlich, dass Citizen Development im orga-nisatorischen Alltag angekommen ist. Für Unternehmen eröffnet dies Chancen zur Effizienzstei-gerung und Reduktion des IT-Backlogs, erfordert jedoch zugleich klare Governance-Strukturen und gezielte Schulungsmaßnahmen.

This bachelor thesis examines the diffusion and use of Microsoft no-code and low-code tools in corporate environments, focusing on the Power Platform. The research is motivated by the in-creasing demand for digital solutions combined with limited IT resources. Accordingly, the study addresses the question of how extensively business units outside IT departments adopt these tools independently. A quantitative online survey with fifty participants was conducted to analyse usage frequency, application areas, and perceived benefits. The findings reveal that both process automation and data visualization are used significantly more often than hypothesized, confirming the relevance of citizen development in everyday organizational practice. The results highlight the potential of low-code and no-code platforms to increase efficiency and reduce IT backlogs, while also emphasizing the need for governance frameworks and training initiatives to ensure sustain-able adoption.
