Advanced Practice Nurses (APN`s) sind Pflegepersonen mit erweiterten Kenntnissen in der Pflegepraxis, die ihre Fertigkeiten und Fähigkeiten in einem Masterstudium erworben haben. Österreichweit werden diese Pflegekräfte vereinzelt in der Patient*innenversorgung in verschiedenen Settings eingesetzt. Der demographische Wandel, die Zunahme an komplexen Pflegesituationen und der Fachkräftemangel, erfordern jetzt und in Zukunft mehr Pflegekräfte mit der Expertise von Advanced Practice Nursing. In dieser Arbeit wurden mittels leitfadengestützten Interviews, 5 Expert*innen befragt und mittels quantitativer Inhaltsanalyse, die hemmenden und fördernden Faktoren, die im Zuge der Implementierung einer APN-Stelle auftreten können, ermittelt. Weiters wurde auf die Akzeptanz der Advanced Practice Nurses im Versorgungsteam eingegangen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, die Notwendigkeit der gesetzlichen Verankerung von Advanced Nursing Practice im Gesundheits- und Krankenpflegegesetz. Zudem ist es erforderlich, die Kompetenzen der Advanced Practice Nurse an internationale Vorbilder anzupassen, um eine Optimierung der Patient*innenversorgung zu gewährleisten. Diese Erweiterung des Kompetenzrahmens erfordert ebenfalls die Abbildung im Gesetz und eine Vereinheitlichung der Ausbildung. Um Stellen nachhaltig implementieren zu können, sind das Engagement der Unternehmen und des Managements eine wichtige Grundvoraussetzung. Für das Vorantreiben der Akzeptanz von APN´s im Versorgungsteam, ist das persönliche Erleben, des Outcomes für die Patient*innen, ein wesentlicher Faktor.

Advanced Practice Nurses are nurses who have advanced knowledge of nursing practice who have acquired their skills and abilities in a master`s degree. Across Austria, these nursing staff are isolated developed to provide patient care in various settings. Demographic change, the increase in complex care situations and the shortage of specialists, require more nurses with the expertise of Advanced Practice Nursing now and in the future. In this study, 5 experts were interviewed using specially formulated questions and quantitative content analysis to determine the inhibiting and promoting factors that can occur while implementing an Advanced Practice Nurse position. The acceptance of advanced practice nurses in the care team was also examined. The results show the necessity of Advanced Nursing Practice in the GuKG. It is also necessary to adapt the competencies of Advanced Practice Nurses to international models, to ensure the optimization of patient care. This expansion of the competency framework also requires mapping in the law and specific focus on training. The commitment of healthcare management organisations is an important prerequisite for the sustainable implementation of positions. The personal experience of the outcome for patients is a key factor in promoting the acceptance of APNs in the care team.
