Virtuelle Teamarbeit findet hauptsächlich mittels moderner Kommunikationstechnologien statt. Da dadurch – anders als in konventionellen Teams – Face-to-Face-Begegnungen die Ausnahme sind, müssen Fach- und Führungskräfte über zusätzliche Schlüsselqualifikationen verfügen, um effektiv zusammenarbeiten zu können: Kommunikations- und Medienkompetenz, Selbstorganisation, angepasste Führungskompetenzen, Diversity. Der Fokus dieser Bachelorarbeit ist Kommunikationskompetenz. Es werden unterschiedliche Facetten der Kommunikation vorgestellt. Mittels einer Literaturanalyse wird untersucht, welche Herausforderungen und Auswirkungen es bei der Kommunikation in virtuellen Teams gibt und wie Kommunikation in virtuellen Teams gefördert und entwickelt werden kann. Die Erkenntnisse zeigen, dass sich Kommunikation im virtuellen Kontext schwieriger gestaltet und dass, speziell zu Beginn der Etablierung eines virtuellen Teams, der Kommunikation besonders viel Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken ist.

Virtual teamwork is mainly operated by modern communication technologies. Since therefore - unlike in conventional teams - face-to-face contacts are the exception, team members and supervisors need to possess additional key qualifications for an effective collaboration: communication and media competence, self-organization, adapted leadership competences, diversity. The focus of this bachelor thesis is communication competence. Different facets of communication are introduced. By the examination of a literature analysis challenges and effects of communication in virtual teams are ascertained and recommendations for the promotion and development of communication in virtual teams are determined. The results indicate that communication in the virtual context is more difficult and that, especially upon implementation of a virtual team, communication should be emphasized.
