Die Mediaprint steht wie viele andere Unternehmen davor auf SAP S/4 HANA umsteigen zu müssen, jedoch stellt sich die Frage ob im Rahmen der Migration der Wechsel in die Cloud kostengünstiger ist als auf Basis der vorhandenen On-Premise Infrastruktur weiterzuarbeiten und nur die zu ergänzende Hardware anzuschaffen. Um diese Frage beantworten zu können muss vorab geklärt werden welche Cloud Modelle es gibt und wie die rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen sind. Dabei zeigte sich, dass es nach Vorgaben keine Public Cloud Lösung sein soll, da es hier stark eingeschränkte Anpassungsmöglichkeiten gibt. Dies wurde durch die Befragung von Experten sowie ergänzende Recherche eruiert. Daher gab es einen Vergleich zwischen On-Premise und Infrastructure-as-a-Service (Amazon AWS vs Microsoft Azure). Bei allen Varianten ist ausreichend rechtliche Sicherheit gegeben. Bei Betrachtung der Kosten hat sich ergeben, dass die Cloud aufgrund der Nebenkosten einer On-Premise Lösung günstiger ist.

Sufficient legal security is provided for all variants. When looking at the costs, it emerged that the cloud is cheaper due to the ancillary costs of an on-premise solution.
