The members of our society are getting older and older, thus getting more life-years, especially of non-working age, and wanting to enjoy them in good quality. Equality of opportunity is a constant companion in almost all circumstances, especially in old age and in terms of health, the thematic are given increased presence. With the help of research questions, health problem areas as well as stigmatization are explained, and the different influencing factors are discussed. The framework conditions for the topic concerned are mentioned in the paper.
The central challenge of society to specifically and individually address health equity in old age is documented based on literature research. With the help of national projects, a way is shown in the work, which is sustainable worthwhile to go. The results of the projects show a positive effect on the quality of life of those affected. The selected projects have also achieved positive results. The increase of well-being was achieved through activity, interpersonal interaction as well as through the assignment of tasks.
